Pogo premiers Japanese game show 'Takeshi's Castle'

MUMBAI: The kids' channel Pogo is all set to premier a blend of fast and funny comedy shows as well as surreal Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle.

This weekly show will premier on 1 March at 7:30 pm from Monday to Thusrdy. Bollywood personality and anchor, Javed Jaffrey brings his own brand of wackiness and commentary style to the show by lending his voice to the Hindi dubbed version.

Ltd managing director Anshuman Misra as quoted in an official communique said,Takeshi's Castle is an over-the-top game show that will add another dimension to the unrivaled programming that Pogo offers. Our selection of the superbly talented Javed Jaffrey to dub for this challenging and fun show is in continuation with the Networks localisation strategy, wherein we work closely with celebrated Indian personalities across Cartoon Network and Pogo, in addition to other initiatives. Previously, Tom Alter, Gaurav Kapoor, Purab Kohli, Tarana Raja, amongst others, have lent their voices for shows on Cartoon Network and Pogo,

The world's funniest, and perhaps most difficult, games challenge 120 participants in each program. Games include scaling walls, dodging boulders and leaping across a booby-trapped pond. There's no script, just lots of laughs as contestants try to catch a football in knee-deep mud or pole-vault across a river.

The game challenges 100-150 participants in each programme members of General Lees team. The game includes the contestants also have to encounter Count Takeshi and his guards.

The show will telecast moments from vacation disasters where rogue monkeys steal vacationers' eyeglasses, to home improvement nightmares, from funny mistakes and blunders from TV shows and news broadcasts, the humour in World's Craziest Videos has been locally adapted to make the viewers laugh out loud.

The humorously romantic action adventure series of Lois & Clark, that brings to life the comic book characters, Clark Kent, his superhuman alter ego Superman and fiction's first lady of the press, Lois Lane. Catch the entertaining 2nd series on POGO from March 19, Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30 p.m.

A special show Beakman's World on Prime Pogo wil be a weekly show and air at 6 pm. Beakman's World" will answer questions by taking kids on a journey of all ages on exciting half-hour adventures revealing the world of science and nature. The show in an interactive process teach and learn the experience that will stimulate the imagination power of the kids with Tiny TV Tweenies - Monday to Friday from 14 March at 3:30 pm.

The channel will also premier a movie Courgae Mountain on 25 March at 7 pm. The movie is set on the eve of WW1, it is an adventurous tale of a Swiss Girl, Heidi's escape from a rat infested orphanage in the war torn countryside.
