This week CNN's chat show Talk Asia speaks to Hong Kong singer and actor Jacky Cheung about his illustrious career, his passion for music and his secret to success. The show airs on 20 November at 12 pm with repeats at 4:30 pm, 10:30 pm the same day, on 21 November at 11 pm and on 22 November at 11:30 am.

He says, “The one theory that I believe is that you have to keep working. Well, as an artist people just look at the work. Some people might love your new things and some people might love the old things, so you’ve got to keep doing something, to explore yourself.”

From pop to rap, from ballads to Mandarin hits and musicals, Cheung talks about the diversity in his music career and says, “I love to keep moving, that’s why I try different things. I believe in that, it keeps me alive.”

Cheung reveals to CNN, “If I had to choose one between singing and acting, I would have to choose singing as it’s more personal. But I like acting, too. You can be another person, that’s kind of fun.”

The 43-year old Chinese music icon continues to enjoy enduring popularity despite releasing more than 60 albums since mid-1980. When asked about what has been the biggest price for fame, Cheung says, “I’m ready to give up some of my own privacy, but not my family - that’s my bottom line.”
