MUMBAI: In a casting coup of sorts, Tamil film producer Venu Ravichandran, also known as Aaskar (Oscar) Ravichandran, has roped in Salman Khan to share screen space with Jackie Chan in his ambitious film, Thalaivan Irukiran.

Confirming the news Ravichandran said, "I have been discussing the film with Jackie Chan for the last few years. The script has a global theme with an Indian connection."

The film will be a sequel to Chan’s hit film Armour of God.

Interestingly, Kamla Hassan will also wield the megaphone.It is said that Katrina Kaif has set her eyes on the South film industry and has signed up for the film.

Ravichandran has made films like Dasavathaaram, Vaaranam Aayiram, Ananda Tandavam, Leelai and Lucky Jokers ( all Tamil) and has distributed Malayalam film Velayudham.
